Poetry is coming home.
After a long pause, we’ve started publishing poetry again on Closer Lives. Not rushed. Not filtered. Just honest words, shared when they’re ready.
I have just published a new poem, Carving a Canyon, written shortly after we met, a piece about how love can arrive quietly and still change everything.
Going forward, both Jenn and I will be sharing poetry on the site. Old pieces, new work, reflections, and creative writing that’s grown alongside our lives.
This space exists for that kind of writing.
If you’re a poet, writer, or creative who values truth over polish, you’re welcome here. We’re also open to guest poetry submissions, and we’d love this group to become a place to share work, thoughts, and conversations around the craft.
No pressure. No algorithms. Just poetry, when it’s ready.
